SyracuseFirst and Pinnacle Employee Services Announce Joint Venture

September 15, 2015

A local not-for-profit and a professional employer organization are teaming up to support local businesses and provide enhanced services to local employees.

SyracuseFirst, a not-for-profit whose mission is to create a thriving economy locally, and Pinnacle Employee Services (PES), a local payroll company that also assists with human-resources, workers compensation administration and benefits is teaming up to offer employment-related services to all businesses that are members of SyracuseFirst.

The founder of SyracuseFirst, Chris Fowler, is excited to offer his members the added benefits of the new relationship. "For our member companies to be able to cost effectively outsource their human resources, employee benefits, payroll and workers compensation resulting in additional time to focus on running their businesses and increase their bottom line through vendor consolidation will only make them more successful." PES's services will also directly aid small-business employees by providing them benefits that they would likely otherwise not receive.

Pinnacle Employee Services' CEO, Mark Pietrowski, expressed his enthusiasm over the new venture, stating, "This is an example of two great Syracuse entities working together to raise the quality of services and benefits provided to local workers and their families. This is just the kind of local collaboration we need more of in order to move CNY forward."

SyracuseFirst was founded in 2009 by Chris Fowler and now has 375 member companies employing over 10,000 people. Pinnacle Employee Services is a subsidiary of Pinnacle Holding Company, a Syracuse based Financial Services firm celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
